Cobblestone floor process

Collaborating with the Scenic Designer, we decided that using sponges to stamp the stage was our best method to create the look we wanted. we started with six sponges that we cut into 8 different shapes.

We had only two eight-hour days to get the floor, the platform, and flats done in order to be presentable for tech week. 

The floor stamping took about an hour with six total people working on it. After, The floor was spattered with a light and dark hand spatter and then sealed.

Stone Platform Process

Platform was based in a gray. Next, a lighter gray is sponged rolled on top quickly. Even lines were pained horizontally across the full platform. Then, using stencils, three different sizes of bricks are painted in making sure not to put the same sized brick next to itself

Stone was topped off with a light spatter and sealed

Projection Flat Vignette 

Stippled the edges of the flat with a small mop scrubber.
